Fact-Checking Policy
How Machinery.org reviews claims, corrections, specifications, and source-backed content.

Verification Standard
News, guides, equipment records, attachment notes, and comparison pages should be checked against reliable source material before publication when they include factual, technical, safety, price, or availability claims.
Manufacturer documentation, official announcements, manuals, standards bodies, verified seller listings, direct expert review, and clearly identified primary sources are preferred.
Unverified Information
If a detail is uncertain, mark it as unavailable, unknown, or requiring verification rather than presenting it as confirmed.
Do not invent specifications, prices, compatibility claims, partnerships, certifications, warranties, or company details.
Corrections
Reader corrections should be reviewed against source material before database or article changes are published.
When a correction materially changes meaning, administrators should update the record, article, date, or status as appropriate.
