The classification of a forklift's vertical lifting structure, such as single-stage, duplex, or triplex.
Definition
Mast type affects maximum lift height, collapsed (lowered) height for entering doorways or trailers, and operator visibility through the mast. Triplex (three-stage) masts generally reach the greatest height for a given collapsed height.
