Zero Tail Swing
An excavator design in which the rear counterweight does not extend beyond the width of the tracks during rotation.

Definition
Zero tail swing excavators can rotate a full 360 degrees without the rear of the machine overhanging past the tracks, making them useful for working close to walls, vehicles, or other obstacles. This design can trade off some counterweight and lift capacity compared with conventional-swing machines.
